Types of rental properties include single-family homes, multifamily apartments, and commercial buildings.

Flipping

Flipping is a real estate term that describes the purchase, development, and sale of a property. What happens here is that an investor buys a property for X amount, fixes the property, and puts it on the market for a considerably higher price than what they purchased it for. Many investors have made a killing doing this, earning more than double of the initial capital.

REITs

Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) are used by investors who work with other investors to gather capital, put up a corporation, and purchase properties.
