A tropical getaway: Travel tips
Over the past decades, a growing number of Americans now consider taking their vacations in tropical locations such as South America or South East Asia. Not only are these destinations cheap: They also offer a set of activities that are only available in those areas alone. However, going to these places, especially for the first time, requires a bit of preparation.
On that note, business leader and travel enthusiast Gene Bernshtam shares a few helpful tips on traveling to the tropics for a vacation.

One of the main attractions of spending a vacation in an island paradise is that people get to ride in small boats and go around island hopping. While this provides more excitement than most urban activities, some people aren’t accustomed to the feel of riding a small boat. They get seasick. To counteract this, Gene Bernshtam recommends riding at the front end of the boat and watch the waves as they hit the boat.
Tropical areas are oftentimes moist and wet. That’s a huge part of their allure. Veteran travelers know that this moisture and other elements in the area may actually damage their electronic devices. This is why they always have waterproof bags, pouches, and other types of containers in which to store their smartphones and other electronic gadgets, Gene Bernshtam explains.
