When it comes to design, homebuilders will still be focusing on developing starter homes. The Great Recession affected the real estate industry immensely as people opted out of purchasing new homes. Now, young people are ready to buy houses again. Millennials will want to settle down and have properties in their names, says Gene Bershtam. The real estate sector is a familiar face to technology. Technology provides developers the chance to have an edge over others, as more and more homebuyers are looking for smart home tech and online home-selling platforms.

There will be more listings for luxury homes, especially in Nashville, San Jose, and Seattle. As sellers receive incentives from high home prices, the availability of luxury homes will increase. In order to attract new tenants, builders, property owners, and landlords are capitalizing on amenities. Parking privileges and gym access are some of the staple offers which do not seem enough anymore. According to Gene Bershtam, movie theaters and communal gardens are likely additions to properties this 2020.

Affordable housing is an issue that the private sector seeks to resolve. The need for affordable housing is at its highest rate. The private sector will be diving into the issue along with the government and non-profit organizations in order to help those with median to low income.

Gene Bershtam has been a CEO of multiple companies. He currently leads commercial real estate investment and development firm Avalon Holdings LLC, which specializes in apartment buildings and mixed-use properties. For more updates, head over to this blog.
